PHOTOGRAPHY
As a photojournalist, I started taking pictures of the Ecuadorian underground music scene in tiny frowzy venues. Later I worked for massive music festivals such as Quito Fest, El Carpazo, and Fête de la Musique.
I have experimented with various formats, including visual chronicle, archive, mixed media, and audio photo essay. My work has been published in some of the most important print and web media of Latin America, such as Noisey VICE, La Hora Newspaper, Hoy Newspaper, Aula Magna, Radio COCOA, La Mala Letra, and Revista Mundo Diners.
In New York City, I’m immersed in documenting social movements and exploring identity and the Latin-American diaspora. Most recently, I have covered social justice movements for organizations such as United For Respect, New York Communities for Change and Make The Road NY. Often, I walk on New York City barrios snapping with my camera and cellphone.
